• Six students from University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Swansea College of Art and Design have won three month paid internships with retail giant H&M at their headquarters in Stockholm this summer. First prize was won by Megan Thomas who also won £300. Second prize went to Madeleine Hearne and third prize was won by Bethan Davies. The runners up were Emily James, Jessica Robinson and Danielle Taylor.

    UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art has been rated best in Wales for Art & Design for the second successive year according to the Complete University Guide. The guide compares universities across the UK on the quality of their research, student satisfaction, entry standards and graduate prospects. The national league table, published this week, saw UWTSD’s College of Art move up 8 places in the UK rankings to 30th overall.

    A University of Wales Trinity Saint David graduate has been shortlisted for the category of South Wales Young Entrepreneur of the Year in The South Wales Business Awards 2015. The ceremony will take place on the 11th of September at The Bear Hotel in Cowbridge, Cardiff.

    Surface Pattern graduate Catrin Jones has won the New Designers Tiger Print Award at this year New Designers Exhibition in London. The prize consists of a £500 cash prize and a two month paid placement including free accommodation near their Bradford studio.
