Swansea is also surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty which lends itself to Tourism. The wonderful beaches of the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are a haven for surf and water sports enthusiasts, whilst the Brecon Beacon Mountains offer a range of exhilarating outdoor activities. These make an ideal playgrounds and a diverse range of case studies for your studies.

The rich cultural heritage of Welsh Estedfodds and the Urdd are an excellent case study, along with the close proximity to Cardiff where 2012 Olympic Events and 2015 Rugby World Cup events are to be hosted. This enables many of our students to secure highly relevant part time work at Liberty Stadium, Parc Y Scarlets, Millennium Stadium, SWALEC Stadium and Ffos Las Race Course. Our links have also enabled many of our students the opportunity to become involved in the international Iron Man Wales event as well as local events such as Pembrokeshire Fish Week which also provide excellent research opportunities.
