Eduroam Wireless Network
Eduroam is the wireless network for students and staff to use across all campuses. Eduroam also provides you access to wireless networks at any other eduroam-enabled institution across the world.

Connecting your Windows Device
Windows 11, 10, 8/8.1, 7 and Vista
- Download the installer for your operating system:
- Run the installer
- When prompted, enter your full UWTSD email address and password
- Students example:

When you’re on campus, search for ‘wireless networks’ on your device, select eduroam, and click connect.
Connecting your Apple Device
Apple iMac, MacBook, iPad, iPhone and iPod
- Download the installer for your operating system:
- Apple macOS
- Apple iPad, iPhone and iPod – simply connect to eduroam and log in using your UWTSD email address and password
- (Apple macOS) Run the installer
- When prompted, enter your full UWTSD email address and password

When you’re on campus, search for ‘wireless networks’ on your device, select eduroam, and click connect.
Connecting your Android Device
- Download and install the eduroamCAT application from the Google Play Store
- Download the installer for your operating system;
- Run the installer
- When prompted, enter your full UWTSD email address and password

If you ever change your UWTSD password, you will need to make sure you enter your new password on your device’s wireless connection the next time you are on campus as you will not be prompted to do so on your device. Simply open ‘wireless connections’, select eduroam and edit your password.
When you’re on campus, search for ‘wireless networks’ on your device, select eduroam, and click connect.
Connecting your Chromebook
- Download the Chrome OS (Chromebook) eduroam installer
- Run the installer
- Open the Chrome Browser and browse to chrome://net-internals/#chromeos
- Use the ‘Import ONC file’ button (the import is silent, so you won’t see anything happen).
- When prompted, enter your full UWTSD email address and password.

When you’re on campus, search for wireless networks on your device, select eduroam, and click connect.
Other Devices
If your device isn’t listed or you need to setup your device manually:
- Connect to the wireless network (SSID): eduroam.
- In the ‘Username’ field enter your full UWTSD email address.

Guest Wireless
The UWTSD Guest wireless network is the primary wireless network for guests of UWTSD and visitors.
Who can use this service?
Guests of University of Wales Trinity Saint David and visitors.
How can I connect to UWTSD Guest?
No prior information is needed by IT in order to access this service. It provides guests access to the internet for a period of 24 hours.
To connect, please follow these instructions:
- On your device under wireless network select “UWTSD Guest” (there is no security key required).
- Once connected, click “Get Online”.
Eduroam Visitor Set-up
Visitors are able to use eduroam at University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
However, you will need to contact your home institution’s IT help service to obtain your eduroam username and password. Please be aware that when connected to eduroam at University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s the IT Acceptable Use Policy applies to all guest users.
