I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to study at UWTSD right at my doorstep. The excellent facilities and the dedicated staff there gave me everything I needed to make it in this tough industry.

There seems to be a trend with graduates that say the thing they admire most is the one-to-one time you get with experienced lecturers, and that's true for me too. It was so valuable to get that first-hand tuition personally tailored on every project. Sergio Fontanarosa and Paul Morrow offered a great deal of time and knowledge to anyone in the group and that's something hard to come by.

I also had the opportunity to take part in live projects with well-known automotive brands like McLaren and Jaguar-Land Rover, which gave me a first-hand look at what it's like to work with the industry standards and deadlines.

After graduating, I landed my dream job at Lotus Design in Norfolk. I got the chance to help a talented and experience team to deliver a new vision of Lotus sports cars in the form of the Lotus Evija and the Lotus Emira. The opportunity to work on the first ever all electric, British Hypercar and the last ever petrol engine sports car to come from Hethel, was a dream come true.

I loved every minute of my time at Swansea, and I do miss the close-knit community there. The thing I value the most from the course was the one-to-one tuition that I had - that is something that you just don't get anywhere else, and it really gave me a head start when I graduated, and I really wouldn't be where I am today without the expertise, time and effort put in by the staff on the course.

To this day I still recommend UWTSD to people as a fantastic place to study, especially aspiring vehicle design students. It wasn't just the quality of the teaching that my lecturers, Paul Morrow and Sergio Fontanarosa, offered but also the amount of time they dedicated to each student. Their passion, creativity and experience is still something on which I draw upon daily. The abiding memory of UWTSD was that it didnít feel like you were studying at a large faceless institution, but instead felt like a family.

Studying Automotive design at Swansea was a great experience for me. The standard of one-to-one teaching was second to none and the state-of-the-art facilities really allowed me to explore and develop my skills to the highest of industry standards. With sponsored industry involvement in projects it allowed me to gain a feel and understanding of the competitive industry I wanted to enter and helped to mould me into the designer I am today. Swansea College of Art for me has really helped shape who I have become, and I feel honoured to be able to say my success is down to the continued support and dedication of its tutors.
