Heather Jackson, Samuel Lockley, Anniqa Anjum and Anoja Paramananthan worked with young people at Ysgol Crug Glas to to run their own tuck shop out on tour as a pop-up tuck-shop.
Heather Jackson – Team Leader – HND Business Management
“We helped them set-up, enabling them to develop interpersonal skills and handling money further. We also raised awareness of the shop showcasing that these young people can do what we do with a little support. My role was to coordinate and plan logistics and check final edits. It has been really interesting learning something very new and looking at business in a more modern way. The lecturers are great, really helpful.”
Samuel Lockley – Communications – BA Business Management (Finance)
“It has been a great project to work on, building on previous knowledge and taking it further. It has been a fulfilling experience interacting and communicating with differently abled children.”
Anniqa Anjum – Marketing Officer – BA Business Management
“It’s was my role to promote the tuck shop, sharing on social networks Facebook and Twitter and creating a blog, keeping people updated. I would recommend the course, the whole Uni experience building friendships while working in groups. We were thrown into random teams and straight into interacting with different people on different courses that we wouldn’t have normally.”
Anoja Paramananthan – Marketing Officer – BA Business Management (Finance)
“It has been good collaborating as a team, communicating well.”
