I am responsible for the Library Collections Team, which manages the Library's digital and print collections along with the Library systems and discovery services, including the Library Management System, Library Catalogue and website.

After a brief period working as a web developer I took up my first library position in 2001 as a Learning Resources Facilitator at Trinity College Carmarthen.  I attained my first professional post in 2003 as Learning Resources Adviser for Systems and Services, with responsibility for the College Library Management System and Library website.  Between 2008 and 2016 I held the position of Senior Learning Resources Adviser at UWTSD, during which time I have worked on a variety of interesting projects including the introduction of RFID (radio-frequency identification) self-service, implementation of the WorldCat Local resource discovery platform, PDA (Patron Driven Acquisitions) for e-books and the University's implementation of the WHELF Shared Library Management System project. I was appointed to my current post in November 2016.

My professional interests include library and web technologies, library management systems and resource discovery, collection management and research repositories.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my two children, and I am also an editor on the Open Directory Project and the Internet Archive.
