The first course of its kind in Wales, this postgraduate course enhances the skills of Health and Social Care staff. This course is suited to those who have an interest in expanding and working within the digital landscape of health and care delivery.
This programme was developed in collaboration with the Wales Institute for Digital Information (WIDI) and NHS Wales professionals. WIDI is a strategic partnership between the University of Wales Trinity St David, University of South Wales and Digital Health and Care Wales. This partnership is a key driver for enhancing the digital workforce for the Health and Care Sector within Wales.

What you will learn
The Digital Skills Programme covers all topic areas around digital and health. This course examines topics surrounding the role technology and data plays in modern health and social care delivery.
The content allows students to learn at a practical and academic level of what digital health and care mean from a Welsh and International perspective.
This course uses a blended learning approach which allows flexibility for our learners to balance study and their full-time roles
This course is aimed at individuals, currently working in a Health or Social Care setting, who wish to further their knowledge and explore a career in Health and Digital.

- Major Project for Digital Professionals (60 credits; compulsory).
Modules are assessed by coursework, and Year 3 comprises the final project and dissertation. It is, therefore, recommended that students wishing to apply outside of a Health and Social Care setting consider their ability to undertake these work-based assessments and final dissertation.
Key Information
Possession of a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree or professional qualification from a recognised British of overseas institution, or appropriate organisational competency in the digital health and social care field.
An interview is required as part of the recruitment process.
Applicants must be employed in an appropriate setting to draw on professional context for learning.
The focus of this programme is industry-based and so students who successfully gain qualifications in this subject will enhance career prospects in Digital Health and Social Care.
