University of Wales Trinity Saint David Information Evening for SA1 Swansea Waterfront

An information evening is being held to share plans for University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s new £300 million SA1 Swansea Waterfront development. The event is taking place at the Technium 2 building in SA1 on Thursday, September 8 from 5pm to 7pm.

Local residents and businesses are being invited to learn more about the plans for SA1 Swansea Waterfront. The vibrant city centre development will create a new learning neighbourhood in Swansea, connecting education with business, innovation and enterprise. Phase One of construction is due to commence this Autumn with the site due to be operational at the start of the academic year in 2018.

UWTSD's Project Director Ray Selby said: “We are excited to be bringing forward this ambitious new development that will see a vibrant and integrated new learning neighbourhood being created in the SA1 Waterfront area of the city. The University’s vision for this development will create a new beginning for SA1, grounded in the city’s heritage and driven by innovation. It will be made possible through collaboration and partnership with local communities, business and industry, the University’s staff and students, as well as the Welsh Government and the City and County of Swansea.”

The information evening is being held as part of the University’s commitment to work closely with the local residential and business communities. The information evening will be an informal drop-in session where people can learn more about the development. University staff, architects from Stride Treglown and representatives from construction company, Kier, will be on hand to answer questions.
