Get involved in Go Green Week!


Students from University of Wales Trinity Saint David are looking forward to a week of celebrations for Go Green Week this week  (13th – 17th February). The University will be hosting a wide range of activities across Swansea, Carmarthen and Lampeter, including the NUS Blackout, Buy Sell Swap Fair, Planting for Bees and many more. It is a great time for us to reflect on achievements over the past year and look forward to what we will be doing in 2017.

Events include:

Sustainability Roadshow: Come along and meet the Sustainability Team at the Cwad, Carmarthen, 10.30 – 14:00. You will have the opportunity to pick up tips on being green on campus, sign up to get involved with upcoming events and have a go at our Recycle Rush game!

#BuySellSwap Fair: A great opportunity to pass on or pick up some great pre-loved stuff and stop it from heading to landfill. You might not want your books, old clothes or bike but there may be someone else on campus who does! Join us in Carmarthen Union on 13th February between 11:00 – 14:00.

Planting for Bees: Take action to support our declining bee population by helping us plant a wild flower garden! 14th February in Lampeter, meet outside 1822 Café at 14:00, 15th February in Carmarthen, meet outside Sports Hall at 1400 or Swansea Townhill Campus, meet outside Townhill Campus Library at 1430.

Walk to Mayhill Washpond: Join the School of Applied Computer on a walk to visit the Mayhill Washpond – the site of a community garden project that is starting soon. Meet at Mount Pleasant reception at 12noon

Down to Earth Presentation: Come and hear more about this inspirational enterprise that specialises in working with disadvantaged and vulnerable groups through sustainable construction and sustainable land use. 13:00 – 14:00, MH503, Mount Pleasant Campus.
