Professor Penaluna said: "I had the privilege of being a UK judge for two years in this competition, and still reference the experiences as some of the very best that I have enjoyed. I learned that judges who are senior business leaders want almost exactly what we in enterprise and entrepreneurship want for our students, and that is a very powerful alignment. Coming back as a guest speaker to the World Cup’s prestigious Academic Leaders Networking Luncheon is a huge honour that reflects the work of the IICED team at UWTSD. I will be speaking about imperatives for education that develops creative innovators, which when you stop and think about it, is simply what any education of the future will rely upon."

Professor Penaluna is the Director of the International Institute for Creative Entrepreneurial Development at UWTSD and has played an integral part in the launch of the EU’s Sense of Initiative and Entrepreneurship Competence (EntreComp) framework. He has also played a significant role in helping to produce guidance aimed at enhancing employability through enterprise education which has already been praised by the CEO of the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

ENACTUS is a community of student, academic and business leaders who develop creative thinking and entrepreneurial action in areas such as education, business, and sustainable development. It is an international non-profit organisation that works with students to create community development projects. The ENACTUS World Cup is a competition in which the best of these projects are brought together.
