UWTSD celebrates outstanding results


University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Faculty of Architecture, Computing and Engineering is celebrating exceptional results today.

Twenty-two students studying computing and electronics courses at the University, have been awarded First Class Honours, together with 12 students achieving upper Second Class Honours.

Professor Ian Wells, UWTSD’s Head of School of Applied Computing said: "We are proud to have the best results that we have ever had on our computing and electronics courses. We have 22 first class honours students and 12 2(i) students. These are highly technical and knowledgeable students that will make a huge difference to our region and our world and we wish them the best in their future careers.

"Seven students have graduated from the innovative Master of Engineering programme in Environmental Engineering. Three students obtained first class honours and 4 achieved a 2(i). They have worked closely with local industry and for example they have, as a group, worked with local company Power and Water to provide innovative solution to water purification. They have a very exciting future ahead of them in an industry that will make a global difference."
