Amy receives the Howard Tanner Prize


Amy White is this year’s recipient of the Dr Howard Tanner Prize for PGCE Secondary Mathematics at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Graduation Ceremony held at the Brangwyn Hall, Swansea.

Amy was awarded the prize made in recognition of her exceptional achievement Mathematics.  The prize is awarded in memory of Dr Howard Tanner, a former lecturer and well respected Mathematics educator and researcher.

Amy White, from Bridgend said: “It’s been an amazing day and absolutely fantastic to graduate today. It’s been a tough year but so rewarding. The award was a huge surprise and a huge honour. I have spent the past year quoting Howard Tanner throughout my assignments and study, applying everything I have learnt and putting it into practice.”

“I have secured a job at Olchfa Comprehensive, teaching Maths and start in September. I cannot wait to start!
