UWTSD presents Contemporary Dialogues

It is with great pleasure that the MA students of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Swansea College of Art invite you to the opening night of their show ‘Contemporary Dialogues’.

The students have collaborated with Coastal Housing to take on a vacant High Street building and transform it to make an atmospheric exhibition space. The university are also delighted to welcome Jane Simpson from Galerie Simpson, who will be officially opening the exhibition. The opening night is on Friday 26th January 2018 from 6.30 p.m. - 8.30 p.m. at 220 High Street, Swansea with an ‘After Party at the ‘Last Resort’.  The show will then run from Saturday 27th January to Saturday 3rd February, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m after which it will be open to view by appointment only.  All are invited to attend.

Jackie Morris is one of the students who will be exhibiting. She said: “This show is a culmination of three full semesters of expanding our thinking and creativity to incorporate a wide range of new perspectives. We are an interdisciplinary group, who have worked to investigate and collaborate creatively to move towards new territories. The lectures, seminars and critical tutorials have been challenging but optimally timed to help us propel our work forward and for this. We would like to thank the staff of Swansea College of Art. Change is a constant of today’s society and hopefully by challenging ourselves to change our work and work together, our show will be exciting and inspiring.”
