UWTSD ranked in the top 5 in UK for student satisfaction in teaching quality in the 2019 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.


The University of Wales Trinity Saint David has claimed a top-five ranking for 'student satisfaction with teaching quality' in this year’s Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.


Overall the University climbed 15 places, a joint 7th highest increase in the UK, to an overall 89th position.  The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide is published annually and provides rankings and full profiles for 132 UK universities.  The league table covers a range of areas which include student satisfaction with teaching quality and the wider student experience.

Dr Mirjam Plantinga, Associate PV (Student Experience), said: "We are absolutely delighted with our results in this league table and are particularly pleased with our UK top 5 position in relation to student satisfaction with teaching quality.

"Scoring highly in relation to teaching quality is important to the University as this is a key area where we believe we are able to offer added value to all those studying with us.  We are always looking for ways in which we can enhance our students’ learning experience.  Working together with our students in close partnership has been crucial to achieving this result."

Alastair McCall, Editor of The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, said: "Welsh universities have had a strong year, with the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, also featuring in the top five for student satisfaction with the quality of teaching, after a rise of 11 places on this league table measure this year. The spectacular performance has helped it jump 15 places overall."
