University of Wales Trinity Saint David is delighted and proud to note that Swansea Business School MBA student Jordan Gonzalez is competing at the Commonwealth Games in Australia after being selected for the Gibraltar swimming team.

Jordan, a Commonwealth and FINA World Championship National Swimmer, has been training to take part in the 100metres backstroke, 50metres backstroke, the 4x100 medley relay, the 4x100 front relay and the 4x200 relay, hoping to make the finals at this year’s Gold Coast 2018 games which get underway on April 4.

Gibraltar-born Jordan has been training for the games whilst studying for his MBA at Swansea Business School. Jordan said that moving from Gibraltar for his education and swimming training was a great experience. "The course at UWTSD has given me the management based skills I need to become a professional within the sports industry,” he added.

We are extremely proud that Jordan has been selected to be part of the swimming team. It is even more impressive that he has managed to do this alongside studying for his MBA at Swansea Business School, UWTSD.”
