Students to feature in Big Band Christmas Show in Cardiff

The Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff will be the place to be on Saturday 14th December when students from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s Canolfan Berfformio Cymru (Wales Performance Centre) along with The Rhys Taylor Big Band perform at BBC Hoddinott Hall.

Nadolig Big Band Christmas

During the show – Nadolig Big Band Christmas - the audience will be treated to a night of spectacular entertainment with performances by UWTSD’s talented students. This promises to be a night to remember and will start your Christmas celebrations off with a bang!

Students from a range of degree programmes at UWTSD’s Cardiff campus – including those studying BA Musical Theatre; the Welsh medium BA Perfformio (Performance); MA Musical Theatre and the Welsh-medium MA Theatre - have worked tirelessly to pull this spectacular evening together.

This is a bilingual event and will feature Christmas classics such as Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree and Joy to the World.

The students taking part in the production are really looking forward performing in Cardiff.

“I’m super excited for the public to see the spectacular show we have put together, which showcases talented performers,” says Georgia Picton, a MA Musical Theatre student at UWTSD Cardiff. “There is something for everyone; great for the family and it’s definitely something to get you in the magical Christmas spirit - you don’t want to miss out!”

Nadolig Big Band Christmas will take place on Saturday 14th December at 7.30pm at BBC Hoddinott Hall within the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.
