UWTSD Women’s Network hosts Workplace Wellbeing symposium with guest speaker Bami Adenipekun

UWTSD Women’s Network hosted a symposium on Workplace Wellbeing on January 15 with guest speaker, author Bami Adenipekun.

Bami is the author of ‘Navigating your new normal: A road map for fulfilment after trauma.’

She discussed her career journey to date at the event at the Reading Room at UWTSD’s Alex Design Exchange.

Supported by UWTSD Pro Vice-Chancellor for Sustainability and Engagement, Dr Jane Davidson, the symposium aimed to bring members of the network together across campuses to share best practice, learn more about enhancing workplace wellbeing, embedding the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act into its work.

Caroline Thraves, Head of School of Fine and Media Arts at UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art said: "We are thrilled that Bami was able to join the UWTSD Women’s Network and tell her story of life after trauma, she is truly an inspiration.”

 

About Bami Adenipekun

 

An author, coach and speaker, she is the founder of Inspired To Soar Ltd which serves people seeking fulfilment in their lives after the devastation caused by the trauma of serious illness, injury or bereavement. Her first book is entitled Navigating Your New Normal: A Road Map for Life Fulfilment After Trauma.

Bami holds a Master’s degree in International Development and Human Rights as well as a Certificate in Life Coaching Studies.

Bami has built relationships with local charities having previously volunteered for Christian Aid a UK-based development charity. She is currently a volunteer for Breast Cancer Care which is a UK-based charity supporting everyone affected by breast cancer as well as raising awareness in the community.
