Complete University Guide league table ranks UWTSD 12th in the UK for 'Student Satisfaction'

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) has once again increased its ranking in The Complete University Guide (CUG) 2021 league table, climbing 11 places and an increase in ranking for the fifth consecutive year.

The results of this league table are extremely encouraging in relation to 'student satisfaction' and the University is particularly pleased with its ranking in this category.  The Complete University Guide features 130 institutions across the UK and is based on ten measures including 'Student Satisfaction', 'Student and Staff Ratio'; 'Graduate Prospects' and 'Completion and Spending on Student Facilities'.

At subject level, Art and Design is first in Wales and 8th overall in the UK, an increase of 13 places.  Barry Liles, OBE, Head of the Wales Institute of Science and Art, says:

“Our Art and Design provision across UWTSD focuses on delivering the very best experience for our students. Staff are passionate about teaching and providing a supportive studio-based experience to all students across our art and design courses. We are delighted that this has been recognised by the Complete University Guide.”

Other notable results at subject level include:

  • 1st in the UK for student satisfaction in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
  • 2nd in the UK for student satisfaction in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 11th in the UK for student satisfaction in Computer Science.
  • Joint 12th in the UK for student satisfaction in Sports Science.
  • Joint 12th in the UK for student satisfaction in Theology & Religious Studies.
  • Joint 14th in the UK for student satisfaction in Business & Management Studies.
  • 1st in Wales and 18th in the UK for student satisfaction in Hospitality, Leisure, Recreation & Tourism.
  • 1st in Wales for student satisfaction in Anthropology.
