Dai has a First-Class honours degree in Music Technology from Swansea College of Art, UWTSD and is currently studying for a Master’s in Sound at the University. He also runs his own freelance music service, Dai Griff Productions, an audio engineering, and music production business. Its primary objective is to provide services covering everything from the writing stage of a composition to the finishing mastering stage of a song.

Dai Griffiths said: “It was really fun creating this track for both Mal and Luna. Taking elements from both the new and the old and combining them in a unique way. I especially love the original retro feel that Mal created in his single and wish to pay homage to that version in the Remixed version by using some of the original elements in the Luna version. I love what Luna has been able to do with it as well, bringing the retro into the now. Both such talented people, and so glad I got to work with them.”

Luna said: “It was an honour working with Mal Pope. Such a lovely man to work with and very helpful when I ran into a few problems with the track. Also, Dai was amazing to work with. He knows exactly what I’m looking for in a track, so much in fact it’s almost like he knows what I’m thinking, or we are the same person. It was really fun working with both guys.”

Mal Pope, a Professor of Practice at UWTSD, said: “David and Luna are such talents and it's been exciting to work with them and see them bring their own distinct sound to one of my songs.

“As a song writer your songs are like your children.  Once they grow up you must let them go and become who they want to be.

“I'm always amazed at how songs can have a life of their own and it's been amazing to hear what they have brought too 'I Still Think About You.”

Caroline Thraves, Academic Director for Art & Media said: “We are very fortunate at Swansea College of Art to have Mal Pope as one of our Professors of Practice. His lifetime of industry knowledge is phenomenal. This collaboration with BA Music Tech graduate Dai Griffiths demonstrates the close working relationship we have with our Professors of Practice and the opportunities they provide for our students.”
