The discipline of Psychology and Counselling at UWTSD works across a range of public sector organisations, including schools.
The team collaborates closely with teacher-educators who bring expert knowledge of the curriculum and pedagogy, while the domain-specific academic and research expertise is provided by Psychology and Counselling. The Academic Director, Dr Ceri Phelps led a team across seven universities to finalise the wellbeing modules for the National MA Education (Wales), a unique collaborative programme aimed specifically at qualified teachers in the context of the realisation of the Curriculum for Wales.
