Ms Julie Hayward MCIPD, FHEA

Julie is a committed and student-centred lecturer in the field of Human Resource Management/Development and Leadership and Management. Experience of teaching on all levels of the BA Business Management programme, specifically on topics related to Human Resource Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Leadership and Management.  Also lectures on the CIPD professional programmes at Level 5 and 7.

Julie is an experienced people manager and professional HR Generalist with a bias towards Learning & Talent Development. She brings a wealth of industry experience from a number of sectors to inform her teaching.

Most recently, Julie held a senior management position at Tata Steel Europe, providing expert support to the business in driving forward talent management and leadership development strategies. This included, designing initiatives and progressive approaches that ensured the organisation had the right people in sufficient numbers, for leadership and key role succession.  Through coaching support and alignment to the appropriate leadership development, she ensured identified potentials had the right experience and capabilities to deliver the organisations goals.

Owner of The Hedgehog Learning Company a consultancy specialising in leadership development and coaching. Has had recent successes supporting the leadership development offering of a major construction company and a local education provider.
