Role in the University
Preparation and delivery of a range of construction-related programmes.
Background
Starting with a trade background, I studied a BSc in Construction Management and Technology and progressed to Site Manager with responsibility for the effective management and delivery of a variety of private and local authority construction projects. I have experience of modern and traditionally built residential and commercial properties as well as non-standard construction, as well as extensive teaching experience delivering level 1 to 6 construction programmes ranging from apprenticeships to GCSE, AS/A Level and Higher Education HNC, HND and BSc.
Academic Interests
Modern and traditional methods of construction and the modern application of traditional methods of construction as a method of improving sustainability.
Research Interests
Sustainable Construction and the implementation of new technologies for improving the performance of traditionally built housing stock.
