I was ordained as an officer in the Salvation Army and served as a minister in Norwich & Coltishall. This was then followed by a 3 yr period of working for Swansea City Council in Finance. I then embarked on an exciting and fulfilling career in education. I trained as a primary school teacher, specialising in Humanities. Following this I taught for 10 years within the primary sector; with roles ranging from Headacher, SENCO, Phase coordinator (in both primary phases) and class teacher. During time in the primary sector I taught in Wales, England and Thailand.
I have worked in Higher Education for the past 11 years on a variety of education programmes. Initially, I taught RE & professional studies on the Primary BA Ed and PGCE. I then began teaching on the Foundation Degree, exploring culture and leading modules on PSE, Inclusion & Equity, work I continue to do. Subsequently, I have taught modules on the Ed Studies degree. In addition to these roles, I am now involved in MA dissertations supervision.
