Architecture plan

26 June 11.30-12.30

Architecture - Style Design and Architect

Architects are experts in the design of buildings and places, creating the setting for human life.

Their primary skill is design – the ability to imagine three-dimensional spaces and objects and apply knowledge of materials, structure and energy turning concept into reality working with engineers, contractors and many other professionals.

This taster session will look at Style, Design and Architect. We’re surrounded by buildings in our daily life and we spend over 95% of our day in a structure; but do you know how buildings have evolved into the spaces that we use today? Join Architecture lecturers Ian Standen RIBA and Dr Liz Walder as they review iconic buildings and their creators. They will also use online software for a bit of audience participation!

Concluding with a Q&A session, where you can talk to experienced architects about the interview process, portfolios, what it's like to study this subject and get your questions answered.

The third in our series of online tasters, if you register for the event we can provide the links to view 3D drawing techniques and model making sessions.

Join us at our friendly and informal taster session to get the help and advice you need, just complete the registration form below.
