Art and Design Foundation

Art and Design Foundation Online Session

The Certificate of HE: Art & Design Foundation is an introduction to study within art and design, a foundation or basis for students entering ‘art school’ and encountering, for the first time, studio-based teaching and learning, characterised as enquiry and learning through drawing, making and process, writing, research, presentation and discussion.

Drawn together / Made together / Exhibit together

This series of workshops will form the basis of a shared learning experience working with Foundation staff and students. An opportunity meet the team, learn new skills and develop your creative practice.

The taster day will introduce you to our learning environment, tools and facilities. This is done both face to face and online. The taster day will be a fun and engaging experience and may help your decision making toward studying art and design in the future.

Much of the work completed can be used to form part of a portfolio of work for future applications.
