I'm Deryn, from Newport. I currently work at The Celtic Manor Resort in Merlin’s Bar. I love the buzz you get when the bar’s busy, when you see somebody smile…especially when they tell you how you’ve made their experience so much better.

When I heard about the Young Chef Young Waiter Wales competition, I jumped at the chance to apply. I like to always test myself and learn new skills, and this competition definitely satisfies that.
