Scholarships and Bursaries

Bursaries and scholarships are available to all UWTSD students and applicants.

As a UWTSD student, you can access a number of scholarships and bursaries to support your studies and enable you to make the most of your student experience. These include:

  • Course-specific awards
  • Awards to support additional skills development and employability
  • Help for specific groups such as student parents and care leavers in accessing education.

The University is pleased to announce a number of new bursaries for the 2020-21 academic year, including a new fund to support Digital Connectivity and a new Taught Postgraduate Fee Reduction Bursary for continuing students and recent graduates of up to £3,000. How to apply for a Bursary or Scholarship

Whilst not a bursary or scholarship, International students may be interested to know that the University is currently offering a new International Students' Fee Reduction for International students studying at undergraduate level with UWTSD and wishing to progress onto a taught postgraduate course.

This is offered as a £3,000 fee reduction on courses priced at £13,340. Students do not need to apply for the discount, it is automatically applied for qualifying students.

PGCE Teacher Training Bursaries

Each year the Welsh Government offers Teacher Training incentives. The bursary amounts that are available and the subjects to which they are linked are determined annually in response to the needs of the education sector.
