Students at University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) are busy preparing artworks for the Swansea College of Art annual summer degree show that will take place across Swansea in May and June.

UWTSD Swansea college of Art Summer degree show invite 2023

Opening on the 19th May, work by final year degree students from a range of creative courses will be on display in Swansea at UWTSD’s Dynevor and ALEX buildings, the National Waterfront Museum, the Dylan Thomas Centre and HQ Urban Kitchen, with selected shows also exhibiting in London later in the summer.

The exhibitions will open between 6-9pm on the 19th, and remain on display to the public during the daytimes until 16th June (excluding Sundays, Bank Holidays and Saturday 27th May).

In anticipation of the exhibitions, Professor Ian Walsh, Provost of UWTSD’s Swansea Campus said: “UWTSD is delighted that once again, we’re able to open our doors to the public and welcome visitors to see the work of this year’s graduating students from Swansea College of Art.

“As one of the UK’s leading centres for art, design and media, UWTSD is proud of the success of its students and the standards they achieve. The importance of the artist, the designer, the film maker, and the creative mind in interpreting our times and telling important stories is vital in these challenging times.”

Caroline Thraves, Academic Director at UWTSD’s Swansea College of Art said: “The Graduate Show is a celebration and culmination of students’ undergraduate and postgraduate study, where you will experience wonderful creativity across a wide variety of art and design subject areas. Art colleges change the world – our students, whose work you will see when you visit the show, will go on to change the world”.
