To further his career, Dr Khubaib Shahzad was looking for a course which not only gives progression and recognition in his chosen career but would also equip him with the management skills employers needed in the business world.

“The motivation to choose this course was to acquire skills and abilities which can differentiate you from others in the professional world. A Doctorate in Business Administration BA helps you to sharpen and develop key skills that include problem-solving, better communication, organisation of work, strategic planning, project management, usage of research tools and techniques and many more.

“It also helps in the development of decision-making abilities that are useful for senior leadership positions, a researcher position and senior consultant.”

Dr Shahzad said his aims and ambitions were high and he took time to research the course.

“I aimed to get the research skills that the business world admires and contribute new knowledge to the existing literature. The most important aim was to get the ‘Doctor’ title after completing this course.”

Dr Shahzad said he would recommend the course to those who want to uplift their professional career and contribute new knowledge to the existing literature and said the course had helped him in many ways.

“Professionally, this course helped me in my carrier progression by getting a manager-level job where I am pursuing my profession,” he said.

“At a personal level, it made me more confident to take decisions based on facts. It made me more assertive in communication which is essential in my profession. I learnt about the organisation of work and strategic planning. I also learnt new research techniques, tools and methods which Im applying these days and will be helpful in future as well.”

Dr Shahzad said he is now working as a Strategic Finance manager in a company.

“Besides my professional role, I am also working on a new research topic which I explored during my research work,” he said.
