As a Construction or Civil Engineering student, you will find our facilities to be more than just spaces for learning—they are dynamic hubs designed to inspire and nurture your passion for the construction industry.    

Our state-of-the-art workshops and laboratories provide ample space for hands-on experimentation and collaborative projects, while our dedicated digital surveying workshop offer access to cutting-edge tools and technologies for bringing your visions to life. With a rich array of resources, from 3D digital modelling software to drones and VR equipment, you will have the support you need to explore the boundaries of technology utilised in the construction industry. Cluster Facilities

Our specialist Construction and Civil Engineering facilities include:    

  • A dedicated Construction Workshop containing shear testing, penetration testing, tensile and compressive testing equipment.  
  • Surveying equipment, including levels and total stations.    
  • CAD computer workstations including Revit, Revisto and MS project  
  • Several dedicated large format plotters    
  • A digital surveying room including VR equipment, 3D scanners, drones and thermographic equipment.    
  • An environment laboratory for soil testing.    
  • A dedicated construction classroom.

Construction and Civil Engineering students also have access to the workshops for large format model making, laser cutting, a CNC machine and 3D printers. Among other technical resources, such as thermographic technology.
