Doctoral College at UWTSD

The Doctoral College provides a hub to enhance our students’ doctoral training and researcher development. We run our own events and work with programmes and Institutes to deliver resources, networking, and training for our diverse and geographically dispersed doctoral students within a growing and vibrant community.

An Engaging and Stimulating Doctoral Community

UWTSD Doctoral College is a rich, vibrant research hub with resources, facilities, training, and support for all of our PhD, Professional Doctorate including DBA, EdD, and DProf, as well as MPhil, MRes, and MA by Research/ MSc by Research researchers. These opportunities for students in both traditional and practice-based PhD programmes to network with students in more practice oriented Professional Doctorate programmes are vital as doctoral study becomes more inter-disciplinary.

This is a community of scholars producing cutting edge research enhancing theory and practice. Our goal is to support this work, help locate it in a wider UWTSD research environment, and to help develop excellent researchers able to make a significant contribution to their chosen discipline or professional practice.

Our doctoral students benefit from a unique Researcher Development Programme designed to develop their research and professional skills.
