As a Computing student in Swansea, you will have access to a range of dedicated computing laboratories and cutting-edge hardware and software. With small class sizes and individual support from experienced lecturers, we ensure a supportive learning environment, providing you with the tools and resources you need to excel in your studies. 

We believe in hands-on learning, where you can apply the principles and theories you learn through immersive projects and real-world applications. Our curriculum is industry-led, with courses co-developed with leading organisations and embedded certifications from industry giants like Cisco and Microsoft.

Our Computing Facilities

Based at our Swansea Waterfront campus students can immerse themselves academically whilst enjoying the vibrant city life and natural beauty that Swansea has to offer where alongside specialised computing facilities, students also have access to a comprehensive library and variety of study spaces.

Our facilities include four computer laboratories, each equipped with high-performance Intel Core i7 processors and 64 GB of RAM. We also offer a specialised lab for computer networks and cybersecurity, featuring state-of-the-art Cisco routers and switches, alongside a Cellebrite Tool Kit for mobile forensics. Students have access to an industry-crafted curriculum, with materials from leading organisations such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Microsoft Learn, ensuring they receive top-tier education and training.

Cybersecurity and Computer Networks

As a student in Cyber Security or Computer Networks, you will have access to additional specialist facilities, including a laboratory specifically designated for Computer Networks and Cybersecurity, furnished with state-of-the-art Cisco routers and switches, as well as a Cellebrite Tool Kit for Mobile Forensics.

Our Cybersecurity and Computer Networks Facilities 

Our advanced learning resources in computer network and cybersecurity include the Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Toolkit, a state-of-the-art tool for investigative and expert analysis. We utilise the latest Cisco equipment, including C1000 switches and C8200L routers, to provide cutting-edge training. Additionally, our facilities feature the FTK Toolkit, Microsoft Azure, and various open-source tools such as Kali Linux and Autopsy. These resources ensure you are well-prepared to tackle industry challenges with confidence and expertise.

Our Electrical & Electronic Engineering Facilities

As a student studying on our electrical & electronic programmes you will have access to a number of specialist facilities including two laboratories with specialist software such as Proteus VSM, Factory IO and LJ Create Virtual Instrument.
